Samsung has been the last manufacturer that you would expect to drive routine and starting updates to a recent cellphone, even only one year old. However, Samsung today is almost completely different, and it makes a name for itself by being one of the first makes Android 12 available on flagships – even if almost three months are too late. However, what was more surprising was the news that had begun to push out the same UI 4 improve to the phone, even though the owner might want to sit at least for a few days.
One UI 4 rush
One UI 4 itself is not a big leap compared to one UI 3 that has been running on many Samsung phones. What makes it substantial, however, is the fact that it also brings Android 12. Speaking visually, you may not see the trace of the new Google material that you design because Samsung custom skin, but the underlying changes still exist.
Older models get Android 12, too
A number of upper class cellphones last year have begun to receive stable updates to Android 12 (via Sammobile 1,2,3). It includes not only the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 20 but also the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The most surprising news is that even the Galaxy S20 FE is part of the launch, even if it is not included in any beta program.
The last bit might increase the red flag for the owner, and remember the events of the last few weeks, they might want to delay the increase until after more explorers who dare to test the waters first. Worried about damaged updates may be the last thing in the mind of people to welcome the new year. If you decide to dive directly, make sure to at least back up all your important data, if everything doesn’t run according to the plan – Samsung explains how to do it on the support site.
