OPPO Find N Foldable Phone Review

It’s hard to consider the mainstream of the product when there are only two or three people who sell a small number of them. For cellphones and tablets that can be folded for truly accepted as the future of cellphones, they must be more accessible in design, availability, and price. It was a goalpost that tried to hit with the company’s first folding device. With mixed excitement and careful optimism, we took Oppo to find n for a good round to see how many points managed to score in the first trial.

Core Specs

With folded devices, specifications sound like the most boring part. That said, Motorola RAZR 2019 proves that good folds can be paralyzed by a decent performance. Fortunately, Oppo doesn’t really save on hardware, which makes propositions even more than unexpected surprises.

Snapdragon 888 will be “previous genes” in the following weeks, of course, but the performance is still commendable, especially when paired with 12GB of RAM. The rest of Oppo Find N is your typical affair, which means that it runs fine butter for almost everything you can throw. It ranks quite along with other Snapdragon 888 phones and even beat Exynos Galaxy S21 Ultra. Of course, there is also a Pro gamer mode to kick several levels at a lower cost of heat and a shorter battery life.

Design

Oppo find n is not the performance. After all, we have seen almost the same specifications on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, and Huawei Mate X2. What everyone does about the Oppo folding phone, instead, is a very different design. Yes, it is still folded vertically in the middle like the three mentioned above, but significantly smaller and wider, which is actually the biggest thing about it.

Display

The display may be the actual star of the show, at least the same as the hinges that allow this folding trick. After all, you will not really want to invest in expensive folding devices if it doesn’t stop the inconvenience when looking at the screen. The good news is Oppo also does not skimp on these parts.

The internal flexible screen is a 7.1-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1792, it does not reach 2K requirements. It supports a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and can do HDR10 and HDR10 +. It has small pieces of holes in the upper left corner for the camera facing forward, but it’s easy enough to forget it there in everyday use. There is a thin protective layer above the main screen, and the user may not delete it under any circumstances or the risk of destroying the fold screen completely.
